The Secret

July 20th, 2007 · No Comments

I just finished watching The Secret for about the 25th time. That should tell you right there what I think of it.

You see, it takes repetition to make changes, and even though sometimes we want something really bad it still takes repetition to make change.

The Secret gives you a powerful method to change your life. It’s true that anything you want to change can be changed using the power of focus.

Regardless of how you interpret the law of attraction to work it works, but one thing to keep in mind that the Secret either minimizes or fails to mention is the importance of taking positive action.

Without committing yourself to your definite purpose you are merely a dreamer. It’s not until you take action after action after action towards the end result that you can guarantee the results you seek.

Also, as mentioned in the Secret, often right when you are about to make a breakthrough most people quit. This explains why 90% if not more entrepreneurs fail at realizing their business. It is simply because when the moment of truth arrives. The “apparent” results may not be seen.

But I share the beliefs of many other successful entrepreneurs that your breakthrough will arrive…the longer you give it a chance, the greater probability you will  have to see your dream materialize. Give up too soon and you are sure to meet failure over and over until you “recognize” the importance of your positive actions.

Someday I’ll Do it…

July 9th, 2007 · No Comments

Do you ever find yourself saying “someday I’ll do it”

I used to use this phrase a lot. I’d guess that about 95% of the population says this to themselves as they go about there day jobs. I can just picture the Michael Boltons and Ameers (See the Movie Office Space) staring at there TPS reports in their cubicles saying “someday I’ll do it”

The problem is, how many days will you do that before you declare that you will stop putting it off until ’some day’ and take the action today?

It takes guts, it takes commitment and it takes the mindset that whatever situation you are in now is the result of your choices.

What major decisions will you make today that will impact your future in a positive way?

Want Success? Hang Out with Smarter People

June 19th, 2007 · No Comments

It might sound like a little bit of a slap in the face, but there is alot of truth to it.

Les Brown, one of the talented teachers at Success University says in more words if you want to increase the speed of your success and break your money clip start hanging out with smarter people.

I am not suggesting that other people are actually smarter than you overall. But respect what accomplished entrepreneurs can teach you about making money and getting the success you desperately want.

If you are at the top of your circle of friends and you are still not making the money you want that’s a cue to find a new circle to join and start at the bottom and slowly work your way to the top in both knowledge and mindset.

You see, it doesn’t matter if you know more than the guy sitting next to you. You might be a freaking genius in comparison, but if that dude or dudette has an easier time making good use of the limited knowledge they have, then they have something you need. Respect it. Watch your associations and make relationships with people who can help you grow. Just don’t expect a handout.

9 times out of 10 successful people are busy people, business (busy-ness) people. Don’t drain their time or take advantage of them. Offer whatever you can contribute and learn. If you don’t apply what they teach you you’ll have a hard time getting time with that person again.

Chill out with the best and be the best

To your success….

Never Giving Up

June 14th, 2007 · No Comments

Will you let the pain of quitting haunt you for the rest of your life?

One of the true differences that separates the failures from successes is whether or not you are accepting failure and deciding to quit.

If I bash my head against a brick wall all day long and after 12 hours realize that the wall is not breaking down, should I quit?

The answer is NO.

You’re a lunatic you say?

That may be true but let me explain.

I wouldn’t quit but I would learn from the pain of not getting anywhere that the strategy I was using was simply not working and causing me too much pain. My next step would be to look for a new strategy.

I could possibly borrow a school bus (empty of course) and run that into the brick wall to break it down or grab a sledge hammer and pound it down or better yet walk through the door 20 feet away.

My point is, as hopeless as some obstacles and experiences seem to be, there is often a different approach we can take. Often the different method is directly in front of us but we just don’t see it or don’t want to see it because it doesn’t fit into our programmed way of thinking.

Rethink your obstacles and always consider your choices. Never Giving Up is one thing and it can be a painful thing if you don’t consider all your option.

Follow your passion but change your plan.

Reinvent yourself daily!

It’s a good feeling

The First 2 Minutes of Your Day

June 10th, 2007 · No Comments

The first 2 minutes of your day can make or break your outcome for what you want to accomplish in the day.

Think about it when you first become consciously aware of having woken up what are the first few things you think about?

For some people it’s imagining all the huge possibilities the day holds. These people immediately begin to formulate a plan in their head as to what is the most effective way to execute that plan in the most efficient way possible.

Others sit in bed and imagine all the problems (possibilities) they must face to get through the day.

As you can see the 2 are identical. The only factor that makes them different is attitude!

Check your attitude before you get out of bed and watch your days get easier and your success come quicker.

2 Universal Truths About Success

June 3rd, 2007 · No Comments

It’s a given that anyone who desires to succeed at anytime in life needs to have a strong desire to accomplish a goal.

Through years of persistence and thousands of dollars spent on self education I’ve come to the realization of 2 universal truths regarding the materialization of success. Today I’d like to share these truths with you.

It may be love that a person desires, it may be money, it may be a home on the lake or ocean, regardless, if you don’t start with the end in mind and have a clear goal and aspiration for what you desire you are going nowhere.

The essential step that must be cultivated after desire is BELIEF.

This step is not ever taken by the majority of people.

So many individuals today are brainwashed by society and formal education into thinking that being great and having great accomplishments is something reserved for a select few who just happen to be lucky or come from the right family.

This could not be further from the truth. The biggest obstacle that prevents success in anything is a lack of faith to believe that you can accomplish it!

Whatever it is that you desire believe that it can be received if you take the path that leads there.

The path may not always be as smooth as you’d like, but if your desire is intense you will arrive at your destination. Don’t settle for less it will only bring you regret when it is too late to pursue.

The second step that must be taken to achieve true success is the step of ACTION.

You’re desire may be strong and your belief may be stronger, but you can believe with all your heart that your goal will be achieved but unless you take the first step on the road that leads to your goal you can’t achieve it!

Thomas Edison attempted to create the light bulb over 1000 times before he got it right, and if you read into the history and beginnings of some of the greatest achievers of all known history you will find the same trend.

See, it doesn’t matter how many times you give up. What makes you a success is how many times you succeed, and sometimes all you need is that one time.

Keep Trying and Above all LEARN from your mistakes!

Your Time Has Come to Succeed

May 30th, 2007 · No Comments

Today you can make the choice that your time has come in life, and you will not settle for whatever is given to you, instead you will decide to follow great leaders like Zig Ziglar and Jim Rohn and make something of yourself while helping others do the same.

For less than a gallon of gas you can get a 2 week world class education on the tools of success valued at almost $2000.

You’ll learn what it takes to make it in whatever profession your in and how you can continue to be effective at prospering and creating wealth.

If that doesn’t hit your funny bone, The 2 little dollars you invest to better yourself will be shared with a hungry child (this actually feeds a kid for about a week read here), but that’s not a joke, it’s just our way of giving back.

The joke comes 2-3 month after you start when you are probably making $10-12,000 extra per month and you are finally able to fire the old boss. It’s a good feeling, something you’ll never forget in your life. I fired my boss 6 months ago and I have loved every minute of it!

So go here and consider taking the plunge. I know when I wait to act I usually don’t ever end up getting done what I wanted. This is for your own good and will change your life. I promise.

I’m not asking for an arm and a leg here, I’m just asking you to TRY a system that has helped thousands of people find freedom. Best part is it costs you next to nothing to try. And I will be your personal mentor if you need anything.

Take the Tour of the Success University Campus Now or get on the Success University newsletter list.

Living for a higher standard

May 30th, 2007 · 1 Comment

Regardless of your religious beliefs in life, every person must strive to live for a higher standard if they desire to be happy in this life.

It’s apparent in nature, everything in nature grows at the greatest possible rate it can. Plants and animals adapt to survive and flourish even in the most dangerous and deadly environments, yet most people choose to live average and mediocre life.

It’s a daily choice we make to be great, and that choice allows us to fully experience life, to chase our dreams and enjoy the satisfaction of realizing our potential.

Never fall into the trap of being ordinary or “normal”, it will only guarantee that you will receive ordinary and “normal” things. Live for a higher standard, set your mind on achievement and experience great things.
